Worth Pondering Upon 12

God of my fathers, give me wisdom, for I am your servant. I am weak and short-lived, lacking in comprehension of judgment and of laws.

What man knows God's counsel? Who can know what the Lord intends? The deliberation of mortals are unsure. The corruptible body burdens the soul.

My child, those who forsook wisdom were bereft of knowledge of what is right. Cling to her with your whole life.

My child, God rebukes offenders little by little, warn them, and remind them of the sins they are committing, that they may abandon their wickedness.

My child, fear of God warms the heart, giving gladness and joy. He who fears the Lord will have a happy end. On the day of his death he will be blessed.

Children, pay heed to a father's right, that you may live. He who honors his father atones for sins. He who reveres his mother stores up riches. He who honors his father is heard when he prays. He will have long life.

My child, the just man falls seven times and rises again. But the wicked stumble to ruin.

Rejoice not when your enemy falls. When he stumbles, let not your heart exult, lest the Lord be displeased with you and withdraw his wrath from your enemy.

He who proclaims the wicked as just - men will curse him and people will denounce him. But those who convict the evildoer will be blessed with prosperity, my child.

Remember, like golden apples in silver settings are words spoken at the proper time.

Evil men understand nothing of justice. But those who seek God understands all.

My child, when the just is triumphant, there is great jubilation. But when the wicked gain preeminence, people hide.

He who gives to the poor suffers no want. But he who ignores them gets many a curse.

God will protect Blue Danube from all evil motives of the wicked.

My dear child, stay away from a hot-headed person. He is the cause of many sins.

Two things I ask from Yahweh: Put falsehood and lying far from me. Give me neither riches nor poverty. Provide me only with the food I need.

The eye that mocks a father, or scorns a mother, will be plucked out.

My child, he who despises wisdom and instruction is doomed. Vain is their hope, fruitless are their labors, worthless are their works.

To observe the laws of wisdom is the basis for incorruptibility. And incorruptibility makes one close to God.

Pray, my child, and prudence will be given to you. Choose virtue over riches. Then you will be great.

In wisdom is a spirit intelligent, holy, unique, clear, unstained, certain, kind, firm, secure and tranquil.

why do you glory in evil, you scandalous liar? All day long you plot destruction. Your tongue is like a razor, you skillful deceiver. You love evil rather than good, lies rather than honest speech. You love any word that destroys, you deceitful tongue. Now God will strike you down.

Life is about how one lives it. One has the choice to live nobly or to be a rascal. God sees everything.

My child, the Sacred Scriptures should be a major part of your life. God's words are the fountain of life.

All that I am telling you everyday are inspired by God's words or my life experience and acquired knowledge, my child. Fear of the Lord is the first step. Every day. By every decision.

As always, when the just prevail, the people rejoice. But when the wicked rule, the people groan. Pray therefore that the wicked would never win.

The just man cares for the rights of the poor. The wicked man has no such concern.

My God, my God, please heal me and relieve me from my sufferings. Your faithful love and saving justice are all I have.

Correction gives wisdom. But a child left to his whims disgraces his mother.

Correct your child, and he will bring you comfort, and give delight to your soul.

If a man pampers his child, he will turn out to be very stubborn.
